Empowering our partners across the state of Connecticut to adopt responsible, sustainable land use practices now and in the future.

OUR GOAL

Promote the sustainable use of Connecticut’s land and natural resources.

We deliver technical assistance, education, and outreach programs that foster long-term environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Strategies

We have many strategies designed to boost conserve natural resources in Connecticut.

Increase outreach and education efforts to current and potential partners, including municipalities, land trusts, environmental organizations, landowners, and communities across Connecticut, to ensure that CT RC&D’s environmental programs are meeting ongoing needs.

Increase outreach to municipal land-use officials to promote best management practices for natural resource conservation and agricultural planning.

Expand the availability of technical support for land use and natural resource management through specialized workshops, training sessions, and consultations.

Expand the volunteer network by actively cultivating a team of professionals to provide expertise in natural resources inventories.

Collaborate with partners to develop and implement solutions for informed resource management. Encourage the appropriate use of Connecticut’s open spaces.
