With 150 years of agricultural production experience, the Bishop Family decided to innovate their electrical usage. When the Bishop's needed to save energy cost for their fruit orchards, they looked to the Rural Energy for America Program to install a large ground mounted solar array. Agricultural space is at a premium in Connecticut, so instead of losing any growing space, they placed the array on land that could not be used for fruit production. This project was the right size, and in the right place to benefit the Bishop family for future generations.
